The embedded SIM or eSIM is a technology that enables you to activate postpaid and prepaid plans without the use of normal physical SIM.

Advantages of eSIM:

  • Use of one number for work and another one for personal calls.
  • Having two or more numbers on the same device.

Difference between the eSIM and the traditional SIM

eSIM is embedded within the device. You will have a voucher that contains QR Code that requires you to scan this code in order to download the eSIM on the mobile, while the traditional SIM is removable and replaceable at any time.

How to order eSIM via mystc app

  • Enter the store in the app
  • Click on get a new number
  • Choose your SIM type (prepaid or postpaid)
  • Choose the suitable plan
  • Choose “Use eSIM” and complete the steps

How to change your current SIM to eSIM via mystc app

  • Click on “Manage” in the app homepage
  • Click on the SIM icon on the top of the page
  • Click on your SIM
  • Click on “Replace SIM”
  • Choose “Use eSIM” and complete the steps

How to activate eSIM:

  • The client must scratch the QR Code.
  • The internet must be available on the device in order to activate eSIM (either via WiFi or via the internet of the ordinary SIM in the device).
  • Upon activating the eSIM on the device, it cannot be used on another device, and in case of changing the device, you need to do another eSIM replacement, as the eSIM will not work on another device after activating on the original one.

What are the services available on eSIM?

Currently the eSIM is available for the (prepaid, postpaid and quicknet and multisims SIMs).

How many times the QR Code can be used?

The QR code can be used on one device only. After that, it cannot be activated on another device. If you want to change your phone, you need to do SIM replacement.

Why do I need to use QR Code?

The QR Code can be used when setting the device on the factory status.

Is it possible to apply for eSIM via mystc app?

Yes, you can order a new SIM or apply for SIM replacement via mystc app and you will get the eSIM directly on the app. No need for delivery!

Can I use the normal sim and eSIM together?

Yes, eSIM and normal sim can be used in one device.

What are the SIMs convertible to eSIM?

All SIMs can be converted to eSIM.

When I need to rescan the QR code?

The QR code must be scanned every time you remove the eSIM profile from the device (e.g. reset factory setting) There is no need to scan the QR code when updating the software.

How many eSIMs can be downloaded in the device?

10 eSIMs can be downloaded on the device.

Is it possible to activate two eSIM numbers at the same time on the device?

No, it is not possible to have two eSIMs active at the same time. However you can have eSIM and normal SIM active at the same time.

Is it possible to use one eSIM number without an ordinary SIM in the device?

Yes, it is possible to use eSIM only in the device.

Are there special packages for eSIM?

No, it applies for all packages.

Will I be able to receive calls on eSIM if I am on a call on the normal SIM and vice versa?

Yes, you can, but Wi-Fi Calling must be turned on for the number to enable that line to receive calls while the other line is in use for a call.
