MySTC offers several services and features including monitoring of Internet data usage on your mobile by accessing your Internet data.

Setting a cap on Internet data usage:
Android OS provides a setting to cap your data usage and turn off data connection once reaching the cap limit. It also provides the option to cap data usage for certain background applications to ultimately save your data plan.

Stopping Auto-update apps:
The Google Play Store app uses mobile data to update app when the “Auto-update apps” option is enabled.
Therefore, you have to deactivate this option so that apps are updated only when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Enabling Data Saver option from Chrome:
When using your Chrome browsing app, you can activate the Data Saver option to reduce consumption of data and save your data plan. This option compresses data to save consumption as possible.

  6. You should turn off your data connection when not needed. To save data usage by apps that need Internet connection, use Wi-Fi networks only.
  7. Avoid playing music at the highest quality:
  8. Certainly when streaming high quality music from music application, the size of the file will be large. This means a high consumption of cellular data. It is therefore recommended not to play high-quality audio tracks when connected to cellular data.
