STC has expanded its FTTH network to connect over 600,000 locations to the fiber optic network that reached a total length of 6000 kilometers of household fiber connections all over Saudi Arabia. This falls within its continuous efforts to complete the strategic extension of its network to connect all sectors and facilities including households with the most recent communication technologies that ensures meeting the customer needs.
STC provided the fiber optic service with new high speeds of up to 1000 megabit/second in order to take customers to a new era of broadband applications. With this it enabled customers to enjoy the fiber optic services to move to smart home concept and use broadband services with high speeds of browsing and download in different household applications and usages. With these capabilities customers can entertain different content services such as IPTV , VoD, recreation services and telephone call services on all Jood saving bundles in addition to interactive games and new social communication channels etc.
STC is currently serving more than 200,000 customers with FTTH services through highly trained technical teams in order to complete FTTH wirings at no cost and overcome all obstacles that hinder the execution of these extensions.
