Saudi NewsDec 09, 2014
STC, Saudi’s leading telecommunications operator, today announced that it has launched direct carrier billing service with Google which will allow its customers to charge their Google Play purchases directly to their monthly mobile bill or prepaid account. This is the first telecom operator in Saudi to launch this service.
STC mobile customers in KSA, whether postpaid or prepaid, can now enjoy this secure, convenient, and flexible payment option using their STC Account. To enable this payment option, customers must first select any application from the Google Play store. Then, when the payment screen appears, they should select their STC Account and continue with the transaction. Their STC account will be automatically set as the default option for all future purchases of applications, games, or in-app purchases.
Google Play store is the official application store for Android smartphones and tablets. Google makes software applications, music, movies and books available for purchase and download through the store. The Google Play store, which comes pre-installed on Android devices, allows users to purchase, download and install applications from Google and third-party developers.
This simple and convenient payment option will initially be available to all STC mobile post-paid and prepaid customers in KSA . With this payment option in place, customers do not need to use a credit card to pay for applications and content on Google Play and can enjoy the one-stop convenience of having all of their application purchases consolidated into their mobile bill or prepaid account.
