STC sponsors “Career Day” for young Saudis studying abroad in Washington

STC is sponsoring the “Career Day” held along the lines of the sixth King Abdullah USA graduation ceremony for “8000” graduates. The ceremony, to be held at Gaylord National Harbor Hotel in Washington from 24 - 27 May 2013, will be attended by the ambassador of the Custodian of the Holly Mosques to Washington, Mr. Adel AL Jubair and His Highness the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid AL Anqari in a step that aims at integration and giving the new graduates the direct chance to access the jobs of the future. The presence of STC at the Exhibition organized by government departments and a number of the Saudi public and private sector organizations on the Career Day displays its keenness to participate in localization path to serve the Saudi society and realize sustained national development. It also emphasizes STC role in attracting newly graduated talented young Saudis who have proved their scientific and gnostic abilities in order to use their expertise and refine their skills so that they can cope with the rapid technical developments witnessed by the telecom industry in the kingdom and the region. STC is a leading organization in localization and has achieved the highest saudization rate of more than 91% as a confirmation of its direction towards attracting young national talents. It contributed to training of thousands of the nation’s youths and still maintains its role of inculcating the culture of working in the communication and IT area which will be reflected in discovering creative talents in the labor market. It is to be noted that STC was honored and recognized on several big occasions such as winning Prince Naief’s reward for saudization for its efforts in this regard. It also won the Saudization reward at GCC level and honored by the GCC ministers of labor and social affairs at their 29th meeting in Abu Dhabi. It is worth mention that Career Day is a renowned event where the Saudi public and private sector organizations are given the opportunity to employ Saudi graduates and grant suitable positions after they have reached advanced education and training stage that would enable them continue the journey of the total renaissance seen by the kingdom.
