Wavelength (DWDM) Features & Benefits
How it works
STC provides point-to-point protected and unprotected DWDM wavelengths on all of the primary inter-city networks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with 2.5G and 10G offerings available. STC offers four 2.5Gbps DWDM network services on four major long-distance fiber network rings in the KSA. These rings include: Northern (3,328 Km), North Eastern (2,337 Km), Central (2,357 Km) and Southern (2,744 Km) networks. Each network offers 16 wavelengths.

Its 10Gbps DWDM network services include three long distance network rings divide into Western (1,149 Km), Central (2,358 Km) and Eastern (1,032 Km) rings. Each of these networks offers 40 channels.
STC’s fully managed 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps DWDM network rings offer reliability, availability and scalability. Linking the greatest number of destinations across the KSA with its extensive optical backbone, STC delivers the perfect solution for businesses that require high-speed transport spread across multiple locations.

STC has the infrastructure in place for fixed-line carriers to get to the destinations they need without having to invest in their own network infrastructure and gain regulatory approval. It is important to STC that its partners have access to easy-to-scale capacity and that customers are able to reduced initial investments and only pay for the bandwidth they need. STC has invested in terrestrial infrastructure so you don’t have to.
