a new service by ALJAWAL, enables subscribers to form their own special groups of friends, colleagues, or family members. Subscribers can communicate with all group members simultaneously through SMS or MMS.

Service Features

The service is available for ALJAWAL, SAWA, and LANA customers.
The subscriber can form up to 5 groups, with 20 members per group.
The subscriber can send SMS or MMS to all group members at once.
The subscriber will enjoy special discounts on SMS and MMS messages sent to groups.
A group member can reply by sending a message to the specific group code.
A group founder can invite others to join his group. Invitees have the right to accept or

reject the invitation.

A subscriber can request information pertaining to groups.
A member can request information pertaining to the members in his group(s).
A group founder has the right to add or delete a group member.
A subscriber can send membership requests, invitations, and information requests free of

charge.

A specific 8-digit code is assigned to each group.
Group members receive a notification when the group founder decides to delete a group.
The rest of the group members are notified when a new member joins.
A group member can choose to stop receiving messages from the group at any time.

Subscription

You can subscribe to Groupy through one of the following:

By SMS: Sending 8001 in an SMS to 902. Upon receiving a confirmation message, send

100 in an SMS to 800800.

To found a group, send 101 followed by the chosen name of the group to 800800. You

will then receive a confirmation message.

By calling ALJAWAL Customer Care Center 902: All you have to do is call 902 to request the service through our automatic service system or by speaking to one of our customer representatives.

Service Fees

Service activation is free of charge.
Monthly subscription fee is SR 5, paid by the group founder.
An SMS sent to any group member costs 15 halalas while an MMS costs 40 halalas. (Number of members x cost per message).
Group founding and managing by SMS is free of charge.
When sending a message, the sender gets a copy free of charge.
Membership requests, information requests, and invitations sent by SMS are free of charge.
