STC offers several value added services including: Directory Assistance, Emergency and 700x/800x.
Directory Assistance
Directory Assistance enables end-users of licensed operators to use the directory enquiry service of STC to obtain telephone numbers of STC fixed line and mobile clients. While directory enquiry is not the primary business focus of telecom operators, it is critical to the overall package they offer to their customers. STC provides listed telephone numbers of named STC fixed line and mobile subscribers within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Emergency
Emergency calls termination enables end-users of licensed operators to be routed to the nearest emergency center through STC’s network. The three-digit 9xx emergency number is translated in the emergency translation database to obtain the closest emergency center. Operators usually bear the cost of these emergency calls which are free to the caller.
700x/800x
700x/800x termination enables other licensed operators to connect their end-users to STC’s 800x and 700x service providers:
- Free-phone 800x Numbers: Connects end-users of an operator to toll-free numbers of information service providers.
- Calls to 700x Numbers: Connects end-users of an operator to information service providers which charge a premium for receiving calls.

By acquiring Emergency Call Termination service, operators could immediately offer subscribers the ability to call the nearest emergency center from their fixed or mobile line anywhere in the kingdom.
700x/800x
The major benefit from the 700x/800x is that it provides the licensed operators with access to STC’s established service provider base. Operators benefit from STC’s established 700x and 800x service and start generating revenues immediately.
