Service Description
STC offers domestic bidirectional point-to-point transmission capacity for voice, data, video, and internet allowing national operators and service providers to extend their business offering beyond the services they own and operate. Link capacity is allocated to each customer on an individual basis depending on their needs, using self-healing rings to rapidly restore communications in the event of a node failure or fiber cut. STC’s wide network provides service to inaccessible areas through inter-city and intra-city transmission links:
1- Local Traffic Transmission (intra-city)
- Provides access to the network, to connect local exchanges or network elements such as Base Transceiver Stations (BTS).
- Provides connectivity between local switches or network elements , for instance between BTS and Base Station Controllers.
2- National Traffic Transmission (inter-city)
National Band 1 links provide transmission for distances under 450 km.
National Band 2 links provide transmission for the 450-900 km range.
National Band 3 links provide transmission for distances above 900 km.
